The annual Estates Return Information Collection (ERIC) contains information relating to the costs of providing, maintaining, and servicing the NHS estate. It provides essential information relating to its safety, quality, running costs and activity, and also supports work to improve efficiency. It is therefore an important method by which information is collated and benchmarked and as such should be approached, managed in a consistent manner.
For the period 1st April 2018 to 31st March 2019, NHS organisations reported:
Consistency is KEY
In order to get your NHS ERIC Return right, it is imperative that the released definitions are appropriately interpreted and applied. Understanding the definitions and how to apply them in a consistent manner via a managed process, with the appropriate questions being asked of your stakeholder group is the key to an efficient, accurate and credible return.
How can we help?
We have years of experience in the management, collation of data and inputting of ERIC information into the NHS Digital interface and as such will support you from the annual release of the definitions to the submission of your return.
Engaging us early to support you in the data collation process means that we can engage your stakeholders with plenty of time to issue spreadsheets, support and share the interpretation of the definitions, collate and quality check the information returned and input the data.
If you feel that this service will help you to manage the annual process, please feel free to contact us for an initial chat using the button to the right of the page or by calling (0191) 9097970.
